IPS Empress® II
Shikosha Dental and IPS Empress offer an ideal solution for 3-unit bridges up to the second premolar. IPS Empress II is an innovative all-ceramic material fabricated from lithium disilicate crystals and a glass-ceramic overlay. Combined, they provide mechanical and optical properties that mimic natural dentition.
Specifically, the lithium disilicate crystals utilized for the framework prevent propagation of microcracks and contribute to the aesthetic translucency of IPS Empress II restorations. The layering material contains a fluorapatite crystalline microstructure that enhances biocompatibility and facilitates control of the material's translucency, opalescence, and fluorescence.
